Hello All,

I'm having a little trouble getting past the configure part of compiling
JServ 1.1. I keep getting an error message at the very end of the
configuration script that states either "directory /usr/local/apache/source
not a valid Apache distribution source" for static Apache install, or
"directory etc. ... .../apxs not a valid apxs source..." for DSO. Can anyone
help me? (Please be gentle, I'm coming from a Windows world and might have
overlooked something stupid in my install, although I did try and follow the
"How to install JServ on UNIX" FAQ to the tee).

System:
RedHat 6.1
Apache 1.3.12
JServ 1.1

Steps Taken to Install:
1. First tried out the binary apache install and was successfull. Later
found out that I needed to compile Apache with Jserv to install JServ, so
deleted /usr/local/apache directory.

2. Downloaded and Apache and JServ source distributions.
3. Followed "How To Install JServ on UNIX" to the last letter, both for a
static install and DSO install.(deleted apache directory and started over
for each install)

I am able to configure and do the make install just fine for apache the
first time around, but when I go over to the JServ directory and do the
configure, I always get the above mentioned error messages from the script.
Please help!
