Hi There.

Sounds similiar to what happened to me. Did you "make clean" on Apache
directory between attempts at DSO and static builds? I forgot to "make clean"
when switching to a static build ( ./configure for Apache JServ complained
about an invalid path to perl, so I gave up and went for static Apache/Apache
JServ build instead), and the first static build DID work, but instead of
handing calls to servlets to JServ, Apache would just start downloading the
.class files to my browser.

"make clean" and a new static build -- worked for me.

Hope that helps
:)
