(win2000, sun jdk1.2.2, apache 1.3.12, apache jserv1.1)

Couldn't get jserv to install, it was insisting on a file jsdk.jar, I found that
this is now called servlet.jar, so I copied the file that name to get jserve to
install (something funky from the get-go).

Anyway, looking at /jserv/status under "configured hosts", it says

PARAMETER - ApJServProperties
VALUE - C:\Program Files\Apache JServ 1.1\conf\jserv.properties (IGNORED)

What does "IGNORED" mean, that it's not being used? If so, what do I do about
that?

when checking the status of the mapped servlet engine, mod_jserv.log says
[23/04/2000 08:11:10:371] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: can not connect to host
192.168.2.4:8007
[23/04/2000 08:11:10:371] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: connection fail
[23/04/2000 08:11:10:371] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol
"ajpv12"
[23/04/2000 08:11:10:371] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol
"status"

I have looked through tons of documents about the EMERGENCY connection issue, and
they all seem to say something is wrong in a path. I really can not figure this
out, and it must be a common issue because I had the same problem a while back on
a redhat box (which I never got to work either).

Can someone please point me to what is wrong with this installation?

Thanks,

Adam
