Thanks to all for your help. My problem were solved by giving Internet acces to the
box.
I know it sounds weird, but when I connected it, all error messages disapeared and
(magically) it is working without problems.
Thanks again

Hi Sergio
Hmmm Windows easier.. oh my! I'm a MCSE (MickeySoft Certified Engineer)
and a CNE (Certified Netware Engineer) and JServ on Win NT drove me nuts!
On Linux to which am pretty inexperienced, I had it running in no
time.... crazy!
Anyway.. back to your point..
If you remove the JConnect.jar, does Jserv work? if it does, it suggests
to me that JConnect requires some class in JSD2.1 which JServ specifically
states it does not support.
The other point in my mind is the Jar format. I'm no jar expert, but i
have had trouble with Jar files b4 and zip filess. I ended upusing my jdk
jar utility to unjar the jar files then jar them again and my life was
soooo much easier.
If you want me to try you JConnect on my server, send me a copy and I will
see if it spits at my confguration..
