Has anyone here used the IBM Linux JDK 1.3 with JServ?

I downloaded it and got it working on RedHat 6.1 (i386), but it seems
pretty unstable (even compared with the Sun Linux VM). I opened a
browser and hit our application (which is very stable with the Sun
VM) a few times concurrently (mostly by just hitting refresh five
times quickly), and it seemed to hang for a few seconds, then
mod_jserv logged some "no response messages" and restarted the VM.
I'd never seen this problem with the Sun VMs on Solaris, other VMs
and servlet engines under Windows, or the Blackdown or Sun VMs under
Linux.

Anyone else have any experience with the latest IBM Linux VM?

I've been pretty disappointed with the relatively quality of Linux
VMs lately ... I gather the 1.1.8 IBM VM is quite good, but some of
our code requires Java 1.2 stuff, so that's been out for us. This has
left the Sun and the Blackdown VMs, both of which leave a lot to be
desired in terms of reliability and performance. I was hoping the new
IBM 1.3 would be okay, but it appears doubtful.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Ben
