BEFORE YOU POST, search the faq at <http://java.apache.org/faq/>
WHEN YOU POST, include all relevant version numbers, log files,
and configuration files. Don't make us guess your problem!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------

Your problem is obviously with your naming conventions.

With these settings, a class in your /usr/local/jserv/opinion repositiry should be
available via the URI

/servlet/MyClass (no .class at the end)
or
/servlets/opinion/MyClass

And in the file repository via

/file/MyClass
or
/serlvets/file/MyClass

You might have a problem with using "root" as the name of a zone. I believe ( I could
be wrong)
that it's sorta a reserved word to mean the root of all servlet zones. Hence if root
was mounted under "fred", then a servlet "jed" in zone "ted" could be reached via:

/fred/ted/jed

Consider changing the name of the "root" zone to something elsee like "example", hence
change:

root.properties=/usr/local/jserv/etc/zone.properties

to

example.properties=/usr/local/jserv/etc/example.properties

 and the mount as well.

If I were you, I'd setup the mounts like:

ApJServMount /opinion ajpv12://localhost:8007/opinion
ApJServMount /file ajpv12://localhost:8007/file
ApJServMount /example ajpv12://localhost:8007/example
ApJServMount /servlet ajpv12://localhost:8007/root
ApJServMount /servlets ajpv12://localhost:8007/root

to make sure you got all of your configs correct and working.

When all these work, start changing mount point names to better serve your needs.

My current configuration files as requested. I have three zones, opinion,
file and root; I activated the "root" just to be able to try the servlets
that came as examples. For this post, I have cut off most of the comments
so as not to flood your mailboxes.

Notice that I am mounting both /servlet and /servlets now.
