I've remade Stronghold Secure Server 3.0 (Apache 1.3.12) repeatedly
with JServ1.1.2, but can't figure out the origin of the 3 lines which
repeat every 10 seconds in the jserv log file:

     [10/09/2000 15:36:22:400 EDT] Connection from localhost/127.0.0.1
     [10/09/2000 15:36:22:400 EDT] Initializing servlet request [10/09/2000
     15:36:22:400 EDT] Reading request data

If I change the ApJServDefaultHost from default localhost to FQDN,
then I don't get the above and instead get repeated messages about
     re-initilaizing servlet zones:

[10/10/2000 09:30:24:200 EDT] Creating new sessions hashtable.
[10/10/2000 09:30:24:200 EDT] Servlet Zone sw initialization complete
     [10/10/2000 09:30:24:200 EDT] - Using configuration file:
     /app01/stronghold/jserv1.1/conf/t6000.properties

I thought the webserver is pinging the JServer, but I can't get this
to stop -- I've tried resetting the ApJServVMTimeout parm and bouncing
the webserver with no effect. It's not my debug loglevel -- this
didn't happen with JServ 1.0. What else could it be?
