I am running a servlet that uses RMI to serve files remotely but am
currently running the servlet with the java.policy file granting all
permissions to every java class, which is obviously unacceptable. Where can
I find documentation on the specifics of each permission or a detailed
description of how to use the policytool or how to set my codebase correctly
(my servlets directory is l:\servlet and I would like to grant
allpermissions to the servlet WebDBI.WebDBI class in the l:\servlet\WebDBI
directory. I copied the format for specifying a codebase from some rmi
subscribelist but either this is not the codebase we should use for Jserv or
the format was incorrect (the user said "if memory serves me correctly,"
which simply means that he didn't care to check whether or not he was giving
an incorrect response or not, rendering his answer completely useless). Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
