Hello Alexus,

My feeling is that this mod_jserv.so is not binary compatible with the OS on
which you are trying to load it or it may be corrupted. In fact, I had a
similar problem on my RedHat Linux 6.1. I downloaded a particular version of
ApacheJServ*.rpm from the Apache site and got the mod_jserv.so installed thru'
RedHat RPM. And when I tried to run httpd, I got a message mod_jserv.so
garbled.
Then I downloaded another version of ApacheJserv from the Apache site. This
time it worked.

Regards,
Jupiter.

nothing to do with where this line in the config file

root@box:/usr/local/apache# bin/apachectl start
Syntax error on line 13 of /usr/local/apache/conf/jserv/jserv.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_jserv.so into
server: /usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_jserv.so: invalid ELF header
bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
root@box:/usr/local/apache#
