Thanks Bill,

I have to email back to Apache Users, as you don't attache your email
address.
I have changed the directory permissions to a higher value,
However when I restart Apache, I only get the following errors.

Which make me thinks I am not restarting the web server correctly.
I kill the hpptd.pid value say it was 1567
like kill -TERM 1567
then restart using ./httpd start.


error_log file.
httpd: [Thu Nov  9 12:33:57 2000] [crit] (125)Address already in use:
make_sock:
 could not bind to port 80

jserv.log file

[09/11/2000 12:33:57:039] (INFO) Apache Module was cleaned-up

Any sugguestions,

You may just need to change the file permissions for the
/usr/local/lib/apache/var/log/ directory ... or even determine is that's
where the log files go.

I thought the logs were in var/log/httpd ...

But I could be wrong.
