We are testing IBMs jdk1.3 and ran into one weird issue: a method within a servlet calls for the locale in order to format a number into currency. Under jdk 1.2.2 the number comes out with a dollar sign but under ibm's 1.3 it comes out asa weird sun looking symbol. Can anyone verify that this is a jdk problem? I am running Redhat 6.2 with glibc 2.1.3-21. Since this is OT, please contact me personally.
