This position will support multiple national database and application development efforts for a large federal agency, located in Laurel, MD. Incumbent will participate in the design, development, and support of multiple concurrent remote database projects. The successful candidate will design and implement assigned functionality on phased delivery schedule, manage day to day development environment databases, and lend database support to developers. *Responsibilities: * - Demonstrated experience developing and/or supporting database and/or web solutions - Experience in administration of SQL Server - MS SQL - TS/SQL, Scripting, Stored Procedures, Backups/Restore, optimization/tuning - Responsible for Database Backups, Upgrades, Testing, and Documentation - Minimum of 5 years experience required (7-10 preferred) in MS SQL - Advanced Communication Skills, Both Verbal and Written, Advanced Interpersonal Skills, and a High Degree of Initiative in Interacting with users and development team members. - Ability to work closely and effectively within a small/medium sized development team, with strong organizational and trouble-shooting skills. * **Additional skill sets of interest include: * - Working experience with multiple data sources (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle), link servers and the ability to design, implement & query complex databases. - Experience with one or more is a plus: VMware or Virtual PC management, Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture System (VistA), and/or VistA Web Services - Experience with health care information systems strongly preferred. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "java-core" group.
