Title: Oracle Database Application Architect Location; Dallas, TX Duration: 6 months 25%-Interface with client in gathering requirements, suggesting solutions and translating to reusable design and design patterns from a data architecture perspective....65%-Lead Architect/Design, development of J2EE, COTS applications and reports, configuration changes and others from a data architecture perspective. Coordination with offshore teams. 10%-Testing (Unit Testing, SIT and UAT). Responsibilities include: Minimum 10 years work experience with prior consulting background and offshore-onshore project experience with the last 3 years as a Development Team Lead o Very strong experience in PL/SQL using Oracle 9i or 10G for 7-9 years o 2-4 years experience in implementing data warehouse applications including experience in ETL and reporting tools (Cognos, Informatica, Business Objects etc.). o Managed and lead medium to large teams of 10-20 in size o Experience coordinating development efforts with developers across multiple projects o Accountable for work products and quality of work of team members. o Manages resources effective, assign tasks and work products to team members. o Has knowledge in using Portal software (like TIBCO, Weblogic Application Server) or custom portals (using Java) o Extensive knowledge/experience of object oriented technologies and a solid experience in data architecture/modeling for 6-8 yrs o Thorough knowledge and experience in software development life cycle (waterfall and iterative) o Understanding of Use Case development for Custom and package systems o Excellent understanding of client/server and web technologies. o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), client presence o Excellent knowledge transfer skills – candidate should be able to mentor other team members in technical and functional areas. o Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. o Ability to perform under pressure in a professional manner. o Required to solve medium to complex problem solving skills.
