*Duration: 6+ Months* *Rate: DOE* *Primary Skills:* *SAS Language, Statistics, Linux, Solaris, Windows, GRID technology, TCP/IP network stack, Understanding of modern storage architectures and databases * *Skills required: * Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science *Fluent Proficiency in SAS language * Fluent using *statistics (intermediate to advanced), queuing theory and algorithmic graph theory* *Knowledgeable of internals of Linux, Solaris and Windows operating system * *Knowledgeable of GRID technology * *Understands TCP/IP network stack * *Understands modern storage architectures and databases * *Responsibilities: * Evaluate business volumetric and translate to needed resource requirements Create a risk model to quantify the impact of business based volatility on the underlying computer hardware Create both closed and open formed models that will predict the system response or client experience based on changing business conditions for many interacting systems Create both functional and cost based projections based on analysis This position is for a *Capacity planner to assist the team with capacity analysis and planning for many complex and heavy volume trading systems*. Needs to be able to analyze many systems simultaneously, when called on, to create strategic plan for the bank systems and evaluate business volumetric and translate to needed resource requirements. *Needs to be self motivated and work on many projects concurrently with minimal supervision*. Ability to translate technical findings back to business based concepts to effectively communicate with the business partners.
