Work with project teams to assess and interpret requirements, designs, capacity issues, data exchange and cross platform conductivity. Creativity required across areas of expertise. A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required. General Skills/Experience: Writes code to aid with the installation of software via network to support the organization's client/server software applications by utilize Acresso Admin Studio to repackage application installations in MSI or App-V formatin accordance to the COMPANY operating environment standards Participates in the testing process of MSI installation packages and Microsoft Windows patches through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software to ensure quality within the installation package and enforce integrity of the COMPANY operating environment Utilize a database application to document application installations as well as report application information and status Work with customers and application deployment partners to create solutions Perform manual installations as required Provide 3rd level support as required. Provide customer support to other departments where required Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Specific Skills/Experience - Required: *5+ years experience with Windows Operating Systems.* *5+ years experience with Microsoft Installer (MSI) packages and * *5+ standards years experience with Acresso Admin Studio, Wise Package * *5+ Studio or other equivalent product such as Install Shield.* Ability to understand MSI patches and transforms Ability to understand MSI merge modules, macros and custom actions Ability to run validation checking Ability to detect, understand, and resolve ICE errors Ability to understand ACL security modifications within MSI packages Ability to detect, understand, and resolve conflicts in MSI packages Ability to troubleshoot MSI applications Ability to create custom macros Ability to develop solutions to integrate applications into a “lock down” environment Understanding of Active Directory Group Policies Ability to troubleshoot distributed applications using tools such as File mon and Reg mon Experience with Microsoft Virtual PC or equivalent product such as VM ware Must be able to provide 3rd level support for the installation and the application Good analytical and troubleshooting skills Understanding of TCP/IP networks Understanding of Client Server applications Ability to provide support for distributed applications Good customer service skills Ability to work within a team and possesses team building skills.
