Responsibilities: Analyze software specifications and architecture to determine locations of possible bottlenecks. Design performance test scripts and scenarios to identify impact of performance bottlenecks. Analyze performance test results to generate scalability models. Collaborate with other engineers on architecture, design, code, configuration, and defect reviews. Provide weekly status reports to project manager describing accomplishments. Follow department quality assurance guidelines and processes. Skills: Requirements: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field. 4+ years of LoadRunner scripting, scenario creation and analysis experience. 4+ years of LoadRunner scripting specifically in Web or SOAP vuser types. 3+ years of experience with JMeter or other open source performance testing tools. Working knowledge of TCP/IP traffic load balancing in high volume environments. Working knowledge of Java, C, SQL and other programming and scripting languages. Working knowledge of open source servlet containers such as JBoss and Tomcat. Working knowledge of XML, SOAP, REST, WSDL standards. Working knowledge of Linux (RedHat) and Unix (Solaris). Working knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g performance metrics (via ADDM/ASH/ etc). Familiarity with OpenLDAP or similar LDAP implementations. Familiarity with enterprise search applications such as Apache SOLR and Lucene. Familiarity with Oracle 10g/11g, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Creative, problem-solving approach with developed multi-tasking ability.
