I have a new requirement for a Junior Business Analyst in the New York metro area. It is projected to last 3 months with the potential for extension. Rate: $25/hr The Business Analyst will help to drive the completion of Business Analysis, Business Requirement Documentation, and Testing to support the successful implementation and delivery of Securities and Fund Services RESPONSIBILITIES: • Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, systems, and operations requirements. • Develop and review *Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)* • Facilitate meetings with the appropriate subject matter experts to receive specifics on requirements • Ensure that high-level business requirements have been decomposed properly into useable functional requirements • Perform analysis to determine and verify business requirements and functional design • Manage changes to baseline requirements through a change control process • Maintain issues lists, including minutes from design meetings • Document functional specifications and *SDLC* required artifacts • Document operational flow of multiple business areas or processes • Develop and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met • Create test scripts including specific test cases and expected results • Balance the needs and foster a relationship between the business and the technology areas • Create flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations • As appropriate, utilize design tools to create mock screens and prototypes • Assist Project Manager with the project plan • Assist in the organization and delivery of presentations • Utilize standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle • Ensure deliverables are being met on a timely basis QUALIFICATIONS: Previous Experience: • *3 + years of practical experience in analysis, design and implementation on successfully implemented* projects in the financial services industry • Compiling data, defining and documenting business requirements • Managing, organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities • Preparing and executing test scripts BACKGROUND: • Knowledge of *Financial Products and Market Data, including Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivative instruments.* • Technically proficient in *Microsoft Office products*, *MS Project and Visio.* • Strong oral and *written communication* skills and ability to facilitate discussions • Quickly grasp and master new requirements and related knowledge • Manage tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of the project • Strong analytical and problem solving skills Thanks & Regards, Fazal Mahmood I Technical Recruiter Kolansoft, INC (:201-484-0340 Fax 7:201-656-6696 *: [email protected] Yahoo IMJ : fazal_kolansoft Website: http://www.kolansoft.net *************************************************************************************************************************************** If you are not interested in receiving our e-mails then please reply with a "REMOVE" in the subject line and mention all the e-mail addresses to be removed with any e-mail addresses, which might be diverting the e-mails to you.
