*Duration: 12 months * *Rate: $50/hr * ** *MUST have excellent communication skills, it's a phone to hire position.* *Job Description:* ** Perform 24X7 production support for the FUSE Middleware Platform (FUSE ESB, FUSE Message Broker, FUSE Mediation Router, FUSE Service Framework) as the level 3 support contact to triage/troubleshoot issues Work with the Level 1 and 2 product support team to triage/troubleshoot issues. Work with the supporting vendor (Progress Software) to triage/troubleshoot issues and open and manage issue tickets. Diagnose and resolve FUSE Middleware performance anomalies and system related outages. Administration and operational support of the FUSE in the Production, Development, Functional Test and Non-Functional (Performance) Test environments. Develop and maintain any scripts and/or batch jobs needed to manage the FUSE Middleware instances. Develop and maintain any monitors for the FUSE Middleware instances, using e.g., IBM Tivoli and HP SiteScope. Assist application teams in troubleshooting issues with application hosted on the FUSE Middleware platform. Troubleshoot performance and availability issues in a highly available environment Assist n performance testing and tuning for application hosted on the FUSE Middleware platform. Monitor hardware utilization, and FUSE Middleware system response time. Assist in capacity/performance management, trend and error analysis to determine system changes required. Act as an SME for the application teams on the use of the FUSE Middleware platforms. Installation and coordination of FUSE Middleware patches and releases from the vendor (Progress Software). Install and configure the SOA Software agents and delegates on the FUSE platform. Manage certificates for the FUSE platform (create/request certificates and exchange certificates with the producer and consumer systems as required). *Required Skills:* The candidate must possess technical depth and breadth and be able to function both independently and as a member of a team. *Requirements also include: * *3+ years of experience as a technical contributor in Middleware teams supporting an enterprise-wide 24x7 distributed multi-technology/multi-location server environments. * *Demonstrated experience with Java support, tuning and troubleshooting * *Fluent with a flavor of the Unix type operating system (AIX and Solaris is preferred) * *Fluent with a flavor of Unix shell scripting (ksh and csh*). *3+ years experience administering enterprise applications. * *3+ years experience with integration technologies * *Working knowledge of physical and virtual hosts; Solaris and AIX VMs * A personal style, commitment and communication ability that allows you to partner with IS peers and teams to work productively and efficiently *Familiarity with XML.
