This is David with Sancrosoftusa Title: GIS ENGINEER Location : Boston, MA Duration : 3-6 Months *GIS ENGINEER* As an experienced *Geographic Information Systems Engineer*, here is an exciting opportunity to become a member of our client’s fledgling but growing GIS Software Development team. You will be developing commercial grade applications using C# and ArcGIS mapping tools. They are creating new applications and re-architecting our existing desktop applications utilizing .NET. We are looking for an individual with a wide breadth of GIS development experience and skills to be part of their GIS team. Someone who has knowledge and experience combining C#, WPF and web services will be a key factor in our drive to success. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:* - As an integral part of the development team, you will implement a large middleware software framework and user interface controls. - You will translate user requirements into the technical design of next generation mapping components used for multi-user based smart client applications. - You will design and develop static and dynamic data layers using ESRI tools. - You will employ best development methodologies to address performance, scalability and efficiency issues with large data sets. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* - You must have at least 8+ years of development experience, with a minimum of 5+ years using ESRI based application development. - You must have a minimum of 2+ years using .NET/C#, WPF (preferred) or Silverlight technologies. - You must have worked with ESRI’s ArcGIS Server.
