*Complete Description: *
QA Analysts to provide Quality Assurance and testing services to internal
software development scrum teams.
Primary responsibilities include working with the teams to define acceptance
criteria of software requirements, assist development personnel in improving
agile development processes by implementing test driven development best
practices, researching and onboarding of new
testing practices and technologies, planning and implementing a viable
automated test strategy, design/implementation and standardization of a
framework for nightly and continuous automated build/deploy/test across all
scrum teams and
projects, software configuration management, as well as assisting the teams
in defining and developing the quality mindset.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience successfully working as a QA
Analyst in an agile environment, as an equal member of the Scrum (or
equivalent) team.
The candidate will be the sole QA resource dedicated to the team, so must be
able to assert the quality viewpoint in a team composed of system analysts
and developers.
The candidate should be motivated, should excel when challenged, and take
initiative to raise the quality bar.
The candidate should also have end to end quality experience (not just
testing), such as:
• Establishing acceptance criteria during user story definition
• Assisting team members in establishing and implementing Test Driven
Development (TDD)
• Test case prioritization techniques and risk analysis
• Creating and maintaining automated test suites
• Incorporation of automated testing into nightly builds and/or continuous
integration
• Software configuration management and deployment
• Production support
• Process and Process improvement

The candidate should have the following specific testing experience (in
order of importance) *
• Automated functional/regression testing
• Selenium and Selenium Grid
• Automated unit testing
• SOAP and ReST web services testing (hitting the service directly)
• Oracle and SQL
• Integration testing
• iTKO LISA (desired)
• TIBCO (desired)
* The candidate will have the following high-level responsibilities: *
• Be a strong advocate and voice for overall quality on the team from
requirements through deployment and Production support
• Assist the team members in building quality into the entire process
• Assist the team is refining user stories and determining acceptance
criteria
• Given limited resources, identify the most important areas to test and
their priority
• Plan the testing strategy (unit, functional, and integration) with the
team
• Execute the testing strategy (unit, functional, and integration) by doing
the testing independently as well as distributed across the team
• Assist team members in resolving issues, not just reporting them
• Work with the team to implement nightly/continuous integration
build/deploy/test framework
