Title: Teradata DBA Support Location: Dayton, OH
Length: Contract-To-Hire Duties, Responsibilities, and Job Functions include: · Accountable for development and delivery of projects based on Teradata in support of Standard Register’s (SR) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) strategy and goals · Provide support, problem diagnosis and resolution for SR’s EDW · Provide and justify labor and duration estimates for project-related task planning · Provides regular communications regarding project status and issues, including labor hours and task completion reporting · Ensure that issues, risks, and mitigations affecting project scope, budget and schedules are effectively communicated to project management and other cross-functional team members · Provides project metrics as required to support PMO reporting, resource forecasting, financial reporting and project scheduling · Provides strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills Minimum knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: · Bachelors Degree required, MS in Computer Science or related discipline preferred · Minimum 5 years of demonstrated (with references) experience with all aspects of Teradata technology, including: . DBA skills in Teradata DBMS Administration, including Teradata V2R6 . Initial Teradata DBMS environment setup, development and production DBA support . Teradata Tools and Utilities, including Meta Data Services . Teradata SQL and BTEQ · Teradata Certified Professional Certification preferred · Expert knowledge in logical data modeling and the conversion of logical models into Teradata physical database designs via ERWIN · Expert knowledge of Teradata system implementation, performance tuning, and support · Proficient with Microsoft Office toolset (versions 2003 – 2010), including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Experience in multiple IT disciplines -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "java-core" group.
