PeopleSoft 8.4 GL Consultant/Manager
*
**Duties and Responsibilities*
• Provide financial system support for General Ledger and other Finance
Teams during Month End Close; support clients use of PS 8.4 GL with close,
journal entries, questions, issues, requests, etc
• Work with PS Admin team
• Monitor interface processes to ensure all are received and all run
successfully
• Assist with testing changes to PS 8.4 and other systems that affect PS
8.4 GL
• Verify data as necessary when changes occur
• Communicate status and updates to Accountants and PS Admin team
• Ability to problem solve - detailed functional knowledge of GL module to
enable trouble shooting and solve client and system issues
• Create and maintain complex PeopleSoft nVision reports
• Make necessary changes to various GL processes, i.e. allocations,
chartfield requests, combo edits, etc.
• Responsible for creating, maintaining and testing allocations
• Develop and update PeopleSoft queries and fulfill any adhoc query
requests
• Maintain PeopleSoft trees and mapping tables for financial reports and
production data processing
• Responsible for all General Ledger Security Access. Review and
approve/deny all AORS requests related to the access of PeopleSoft
Financials General Ledger Module. Work with ERP Security to ensure all
roles requested are approved and granted
• Use current PC database tools such as MS Access and Excel, provide
detailed statistical and trend analysis for management decision making.
Provide options and best practice recommendations based on analysis work
• Other ad hoc analyses as needed
*Candidate Qualifications: *
• 5-7 years experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger Application (ERP)
o Detailed functional knowledge with GL module
? Chart field design
? Knowledge of nVision
? Queries
? Allocations design and configuration
? Combo edit configuration and processing
? Interface processing
• 5-7 years reporting experience with PeopleSoft nVision & PS Query
• Prior Functional experience in PeopleSoft Financials v8.4 - Working
knowledge of PeopleSoft Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Purchasing
• Requires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong
judgment and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management
and staff
• Excellent problem solving skills
• General Ledger Interface management experience
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Well-developed analytical and interpretive skills
• Exceptional organization skills
• Willing to work overtime as needed
