QA Analyst with Video streaming**
**Location: Chelsea NY /Washington DC **
**Duration: 6+Months**

We're recruiting for a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to perform
functionality, compatibility, integration, and regression testing for new
video streaming technology for both web and mobile experiences.
This role will directly interact with designers, business and product
management, as well as backend and frontend engineers to help refine an
understanding of product requirements, test execution, and facilitate user
acceptance and final product hand-off.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, intellectually-curious, “get things
done” engineer who works well in a distributed team environment.
Someone who desires to solve real problems for real users creatively and
has a sense of pride and ownership of the process and test results related
to the project. This position reports to our Manager of Quality Assurance.
*Essential Functions*
• Collaborating with your QA manager to define a test strategy, test
scope, risk based decisions, and best-practices for the project.
• Independently driving the testing initiative and execution
• Participating in design and specification reviews
• Executing manual and automated testing of web based application and
mobile
• Generating test visibility to management and the product team
• Working as a team with software engineers and other staff to resolve
issues, deliver systems, and maintain systems
• Participating in bug review processes including identifying,
documenting and following through on bugs through the defect lifecycle
• Actively participating in daily Scrums and project planning meetings
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts within a test framework

*Job Qualifications*
• Minimum 5+ years QA experience with solid understanding and experience
in SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Applied Math or Business Administration or
equivalent experience
• Experienced in product validation in all phases of life cycle
including requirements, design, implementation, integration, qa, and
delivery.
• Ability to manage small web development projects
• Experience with SQL (Oracle)
*Preferred Skills*
• Programming experience: JavaScript, HTML, XML, JSP, JSON and JAVA
• Student of agile software methodologies
• Experience in automation frameworks. Selenium.
• HTML5 and/or Flash
• Experience with the Platform video player.
• Experience with Free Wheel ad service development and integration.
• Experience with web analytics integration with Adobe Site
Catalyst/Omniture.
• Experience with HTTP Streaming.
