*Duration: 12 month contract* *Rate: $40/hr MAXXX* *Overview:* This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by jobholders within this classification. It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of jobholders assigned to the job. *Responsibilities:* 1. Develop detailed test plans, testing effort, duration and resource estimates for IT Projects and operational releases. 2. Develop, document and maintain uniform QA procedures (hardware, software, and infrastructure), scripts, and reference materials for use across IT functional groups. 3. Review IT project requirements/objectives to ensure they are clear and testable. 4. Work with project teams, IT staff and end users to develop use cases, test data and test requirements. 5. Coordinate and/or perform testing/evaluations for complex IT software/hardware installations and upgrades. 6. Document and track defects found during testing. 7. Work with IT staff and/or vendors on defect resolution. 8. Provide regular detailed status reports for ongoing/upcoming testing effort. 9. Assist in identifying areas for improvement in existing QA policies/procedures/technologies. 10. Maintain and ensure availability of testing environments. 11. Executes audit processes to improve quality of IT products and services. 12. Perform additional duties as directed. 13. Attend seminars and remain current on new leadership skills. 14. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications. 15. Stay in tune with the Firm's growing projects. *Qualifications:* *A. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:* Requires Bachelor's degree, or relevant work experience. Requires two plus years with quality assurance/testing. Documentation experience a must. *B. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* - Ability to interact with all levels of staff. - Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and concepts. Maintain professional demeanor at all times. - Able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment. - Ability to work under high pressure with tight schedules and deadlines. Ability to interact and coordinate with several teams to achieve objectives. - Ability to provide good estimates (based on documented requirements and available testing resources) and manage a testing schedule. - Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills. - Excellent problem solving skills and ability to see problems in larger organizational context. - Ambitious and motivated team player. - Capable of grasping new concepts without prior experience. Detail oriented. - Excellent interpersonal skills and patience working with others. Ability to travel or work evenings and weekends when necessary. - Considered a *plus*: automated test tool experience, experience with document management systems, experience with Microsoft Project, experience with Microsoft Office, development and customer support experience, networking and client/server experience, CAPM or PMP certification.
