Performs analysis, design, development and maintenance of a large Microsoft SQL Server database that is part of an insurance brokerage management system. This job will include: Writing of SQL code for the implementation of tables, views, user defined functions, stored procedures and other SQL server objects to satisfy business requirements. Analysis of database objects for the purpose of identifying and correcting performance related issues. Generation of ad-hoc queries to satisfy requests for data from internal and external business customers. Design and development of code and procedures to support database partitioning and archiving. Requirements: _ 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft *SQL Server 2005 or 2008.* _ 2+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft *SQL Server Reporting Services to generate web-based reports*. _ 2+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft *SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for Extract*, Transform, and Loading operations. _ Solid understanding of the software development life cycle Experience with software version control systems and ability to follow required software development standards and processes. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
