Role Description & Primary Objectives
The Business Analyst (BA) serves as the vital link between Clients
information technology capabilities and its business objectives. The BAs
primary role is to help business units define current and future-state
processes, document functional business requirements, articulate functional
business requirements into technical designs, and support technology
implementations.
Responsibilities
Design Responsibilities
Determines operational objectives by studying business functions;
gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
Development Responsibilities
Clarifies and simplifies business requirements for the development
team and translates/clarifies functional business requirements into
technical design requirements for both the developers and the QAs
Implementation Planning Responsibilities
Works with the implementation PMs by providing the necessary
information required to create the assessment templates and ensuring that
any ongoing system changes are reflected in the documentation begin used
for implementation planning
