Utilizes specialized knowledge to complete non-routine tasks. Troubleshoots problems and recommends appropriate action. Incumbent handles most problems and issues independently and determines course of action for ambiguous issues. Normally receives minimal instructions on non-routine work assignments and only general instructions on new or more complex assignments. Decisions are made independently. Assigned multiple projects are generally reviewed after completion. Contact is typically coordinative in nature and involves exchanging detailed technical information. May deal with both internal and external contacts. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, of job-relatedfunctional area, of telecommunications technology and the business. B.S. degree in technical area and 5-6 years job- related experience; Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience including logical security implementations and operations. Must have experience implementing and supporting at least two of the following: Enterprise Gateway architectures including: Firewalls (Checkpoint R65+, Cisco ASA; Palo Alto); Enterprise Management tools (Provider1 R70+, F5 Ent Manager, Bluecoat Director); Global and Local load balancing (F5 LTM, GTM); Enterprise Proxy (Bluecoat); SSL-Based RAS (F5 APM); Ideal candidate will have strong understanding of industry trends in all areas of Information Security. Experience working in 24 x 7 centers with complex, high transaction, high availability environments In depth understanding of networking technologies, e.g. Cisco firewalls and server load balancing. Extensive experience with Log File analysis and reporting. Must have excellent written and presentation skills Ideal candidate will have a strong,. multi-discipline, operations and/or implementations background with emphasis on supporting business critical environments.
