CANDIDATE JOB DESCRIPTION > Title Linux Systems Administrator (with a security emphasis) > Location: King of Prussia, PA > Duration: 6 months+ > Description: > > * System administration for infrastructure supporting security tools including operating systems and system software > > * Primary Linux operating system support; secondary Windows operating system support > > * Develop and implement monitoring capability and for security infrastructure > > * Monitor and support security infrastructure and operating systems > > * Monitor and support software tools running on Linux and Windows servers > > * Troubleshoot server and security infrastructure errors > > * Perform regular health check routines on security infrastructure > > * Monitor and maintain updates to security infrastructure to ensure that all data collected by security infrastructure is appropriately processed within various systems > > * Provide first level technical support for system issues with security infrastructure, including working with technical support at various vendors utilized by the Information Security team > > * Analyze incident data and vulnerability of company networks, including internal and external websites, to identify trends and makes recommendations for long-term plan for evolution of existing security architecture and tools > > * Monitor for vendor releases and patches and keeps security infrastructure on a supported environment > > * Other duties as necessary > > Required Skills: > > * BA/BS degree in information security, computer science or a related field; or the equivalent in education and work experience > > * Minimum of 6-10 years Linux system administration experience > > * Working knowledge of Windows server operating systems > > * Project management experience > > * Customer service and client management experience > > * Problem solving skills > * Organizational and analytical skills > * Written and verbal communication skills appropriate for a professional work environment > * Ability to identify, resolve and escalate problems > * Ability to work independently and with others in an effective and professional manner > * Must be willing to work in an open environment >
