Candidates should possess at least *8 years* of professional experience and preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field. We value creativity, intelligence, technical leadership and strong interpersonal skills, and cultivate a team based approach in all aspects of the application development lifecycle. We are looking for a seasoned professional contributor who can serve in a lead role for development of functions having considerable project scope and impact. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Develop detailed technical design specifications based on business requirements Develop creative solutions for delivery of relevant Client's content to our interactive end users Design and develop Java based web service applications Design and develop SOLR search applications, and architect all underlying SOLR data structures Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex interactive application and system issues Participate in testing and performance tuning of all applications before production release Participate in release planning and execution Thoroughly document project deliverables, including architecture, design, technical implementation, performance metrics, production environment, and application/system operational details Contribute to the project planning process by estimating tasks, level of effort and deliverables Proactively anticipate issues and work toward timely resolution to minimize negative project impact Work within clearly defined build and configuration management processes *Required Technical Skills* The ability to work with other engineers to analyze business and functional requirements, translate them into technical specifications which support the architecture, design and implementation of robust, scalable and supportable platforms Experience developing and unit testing Java enterprise applications Experience in J2EE technologies and frameworks Experience with Enterprise Search technology such as Lucene/SOLR Experience with Object-Oriented programming and design patterns Experience in development and optimization of ETL processes Working knowledge of XML/XSL/JSON Working experience with formal build and configuration management processes Strong aptitude for analysis, troubleshooting and issue resolution A strong desire to learn and the ability to assess emerging technologies within the framework of our environment Experience with cloud storage and on-demand computing, preferably AWS *Required Interpersonal/Professional Skills* Solid communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical staff, project management and business stakeholders Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in making design and implementation decisions as a part of a team Solid judgment and reasoning skills.
