Job Title: Salesforce Developer

Duration: 6 months

Worksite location: 177 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA

Hours: 40 hours

Interview Process: phone interview, followed by an on site interview.  They
will Skype for out of state candidates willing to relocate.

*Job Description*

The Applications Developer’s primary responsibility will be to focus on
ensuring the development of quality software using best practice
architecture, coding practice and development processes on a day- to -day
basis.   This position coordinates with analysts and functional users to
determine functional requirements and provides customization, maintenance
and updates as needed. The Applications Developer will also partner with
cross-functional teams to establish and support the application development
and test environments.  The role will also be responsible for Tier 2 and 3
advanced technical support to functional areas.



90% of Total Time:



Development of in-house Applications



The Applications Developer will prepare application requirements, design,
code, and quality documentation utilizing best practices.  This individual
will develop plans for detailed analysis of computer program code,
documentation, and output to insure validity, consistency, and conformance
to applicable standards; design and execute computer program test cases,
analyze output for validity, and prepare written reports documenting
results.



The Applications Developer will also develop, write, and submit technical
reports for technical presentations and meetings, and customer briefings.
Along with technical reviews with other areas within IT to ensure change
management ramifications are clearly articulated and understood.



This individual will also work with technical and functional groups in a
matrix team environment to ensure quality documentation standardization for
all modifications and interfaces.



This individual will also work with other IT groups to ensure the integrity
and high quality of customized applications release completed as a part of
change management processes.





10% of Total Time



Provide High Level Technical Customer Support



The Applications Developer will, when necessary, help to resolve any
advanced technical trouble tickets or requests and help to resolve any
issues related to customization/implementation upgrades or new installs of
applications.



Knowledge, Skill Sets, Experience



The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science or a related field, along with an initiative for continuing studies
and coursework.  The candidate must also have a minimum of two years’
experience with integrating with and developing Salesforce.com
applications.  This includes developing using the APEX programing language,
creating workflows and formulas, and is familiar with salesforce.com
administration.



The candidate must have at least three years’ experience with at least two
of the following technologies:  RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) (sql, pl/sql,
t-sql,), Banner (Student, Finance, AR or Advancement), Object Oriented
Programming Language (Java, C#), Scripting Languages (Perl, korn shell,
c-shell, python), Web Applications experience (http), Web Services,
CastIron or other Integration Platform experience, or SQR. Ideal candidate
has demonstrated ability to work well directly with customers, teams, and
in a matrix managed environment.  Must have excellent written and oral
communication skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and
activities.
