Duration :6+ months Rate:$50/hr Required skills: PERL,Python Job description: Job Role Summary: The position is for a software engineer to design and develop web and mobile technology based application for Railroad customers. In this role, the Software Engineer is expected to work on software development and maintenance projects. Engineer is expected to work closely with the software development and test team in providing root cause analysis and solution for the issues reported by customers. The software engineer is also expected to assist software development team in performing sub-system and system level software verification testing. The software engineer will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: • Participate in the software design, development and testing of dynamic web and mobile applications, • Perform application support working closely with the customer support team, to diagnose and resolve customer reported issues and anomalies, • Work as an individual contributor and take guidance from software technical leader, • Work in an environment of developers using open source development tools. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other Information Technology related Engineering Discipline from an accredited college or university. • Software development experience on web and mobile technology (LAMP Architecture).
