Job Title: *Facets IT Architecture Consultant* Location: CYPRESS, CA
Duration : 6+ months Rate: Open Job description: The FSG Systems Architect works with IT and business staff to formulate system architecture and designs. Develops and applies industry best practice technology, design and methodology approaches to implement system solutions to support business processes.Develops architecture models and technical standards to enable the transition of client's systems from current state to future requirements.Consults and provides input on business process improvements.Provides guidance for IT policies, procedures, tools, security and infrastructure.Mentors and directs IT staff on technical architecture.Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with IT and business units.Researches and recommends new emerging technologies, techniques and tools that will multiple Facets platforms, supporting different lines of business.The ideal candidate would possess deep understanding of at least one Managed Care Organization (MCO) processing platform, like those build based on TriZetto Facets system, Healthedge, or iKAsystems. The candidate should also have a good understanding of MCO business workflow.Be able to mentor IT staff on technical and business architecture.Develop architecture models and standards, platform roadmaps.Researches and recommends new emerging technologies, techniques and tools and guides teams in implementing recommendations.Will have experience in the following areas:•Experience working with different lines of businesses like Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, and Specialty Benefits•Integrating MCO platform in a large/complex enterprise environment•Platform batch architecture and procedures•System Configuration and migration through different environments•Various integration methodologies like web services, message queues, file based interfaces, etc.•Designing relational data models, and ability to work with data models from COTS vendors•Experience integrating MCO platforms to various portals•Strong understanding of SDLC, and Architecture processesOther Requirements:•Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or direct and applicable experience.•10+ years experience in medium to large corporate IT environment.•5+ years experience in architect or lead technical role.•Knowledge and experience in system modeling or diagramming approaches.•Experience in creating and maintaining platform technology road maps.•Experience in various Information Technologies (SOA, SOAP, WSDL, ETL, EDI, UML, OOA OOD, REST, Data Warehouse, etc,.) and how each fits within and/or complements the enterprise architecture.•Experience with Oracle and/or Sybase•Ability to facilitate and lead solution design activities.•Ability to coach and mentor IT staff.•Knowledge of project management.•Ability to think strategically.•Strong analytic abilities and strong problem solving skills•Perform Options Analysis•Develop Conceptual Designs•Ensure Quality/Alignment of Conceptual Designs•Demonstrate and Apply Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Standards.
