Rate- $45/hr MAX Portland, ME *writing SQL Queries and Mobile experience is required* Job Description: We have an immediate need for a QA Engineer for our Software Quality Assurance Team working primarily on mobile QA efforts. Leadership, QA engineering skills, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience are required. This is a 3-month contract to start, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and business need. The hiring manager has a preference for candidates who are local or who can interview in-person. . Must Haves: · Strong written and verbal communication skills including expert English-language skills. · Solid experience with testing on mobile devices and mobile apps. · Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous high priority efforts. · Strong problem solving skills. · Proven ability to work with project managers to manage resources across projects understanding dependencies, competing priorities and deliverables. · Ability to read and understand basic software code. · Ability to translate requirements and software design into robust test cases. · Experience with troubleshooting issues - interpreting stack traces, verifying data in logs, manipulating data, thinking outside the box to recreate issues, etc. · Testing experience with web-based applications. · Experience with web service testing and SOAPUI. · Ability to write and execute complicated SQL queries. · MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. · Highly organized, process and detail oriented. · Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
