$48/hr MAXX *Service Now developer* client currently has a CMDB (Configuration Management Database) in production. A CMDB is a database that is used to track and map services and applications to the technical assets that they consume. A CMDB also stores and tracks accountabilities for all the above assets. Client's CMDB is currently being redesigned to provide more effective knowledge for Client’s operational support teams. These teams will use the knowledge in the CMDB to improve the following operational support processes: Incident Management (addressing issues that impact users ability to utilize application/systems – the CMDB will help reduce outage time), Change Management (the process for safely introducing change into production – the CMDB will reduce the risk of change), Problem Management (addressing the root cause for system issues in production – the CMDB will reduce the time and effort it takes to discover root cause). Additional data points on this initiative: • The CMDB initiative will help drive several other projects currently underway/on the books, including operational establishing service agreements between IT Operations and the Delivery teams. • The CMDB initiative is a part of the IT Shared Lever, namely: Reliability. • The CMDB design phase has already commenced and so timing is critical to bring on additional resources • The primary end users for the Knowledge in the CMDB will be those operational support personnel chartered with using the knowledge to support business applications and services • Review design deliverables and provide feedback. • Once the design is complete, work with the onsite ServiceNow developers to develop client's ServiceNow CMDB based upon that design.
