Maybe it's useful to explain a bit the background of the mailing list and SVN location changes. Axis and Axis2 were formerly subprojects of the Apache Web Services project. This is why the old mailing list addresses end with @ws.apache.org and the old SVN locations are under http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/webservices/. A couple of months ago, Axis and Axis2 have been promoted to a top level project with domain axis.apache.org and SVN location http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/axis/.
That required a migration of the mailing lists, and after careful discussion we decided that this would be a good opportunity to split the user list between Axis 1.x and Axis2. I understand that you would prefer [email protected] for both projects because it's more active, but most of the people subscribed to that list are only interested in Axis2. From their point of view, it's better to keep the Axis 1.x related discussions on a separate list. Thus, the updated Axis documentation should refer to [email protected]. With respect to the SVN locations, things are clear for the source code, which is now located at http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/axis/axis1/java/trunk/. However, the site sources are still at http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/webservices/axis/trunk/site/src/java/, i.e. under the Apache Web Services project. They need to be moved somewhere under http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/axis/. Taking into account the SVN structure that we established for the new Axis top level project, I think that the new location should be http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/axis/axis1/java/site/. Maybe Tom can give his opinion here? Another thing that we need to figure out is how to publish this site under http://axis.apache.org, but that is the same issue as for Axis2 (which has not yet published any new version of the site since to promotion to a TLP).
