To be frank, I didn't check for the convention that the axis2 has been using.
Since we normally have releases of 3 decimal points, I though keeping the 3 decimal behaviour for all the releases would be good. For example, we do not call the 1.0 just 1 as we expect to go for a 1.x releases, in the same manner I thought it is good to call it 1.6.0. Anyway I am completely fine with 1.6 as well.
