Yes , that is true 1.6 branch is not updated as trunk. Trunk contains some latest development changes that we don't target for 1.6.0. FYI we cut 1.6 branch on Feb and tried to have a release but found there are number of samples were broken. During the recent past we addressed those issues and carefully merged only required stable changes from trunk , please see following threads [1] [2] . Note that this is the procedure we followed from 1.5.* releases as described in release process [3]. Only exception here is it took little more time than other releases. Thanks !
