Inherited methods are not identified as web service operations for POJO's

I just wrote a simple service in which the service class is extending another
class. Base class contains some methods and in my service class I've added some
more. So I wrote a simple services.xml using the RPC MR and deployed it. But I
don't see the inherited methods as operations in my WSDL.
