Jdk 17 is the officially supported version for axis2 2.0.0. Jakarta based servers such as Tomcat 11 and Wildfly 32 that were tested with Axis2 2.0.0 require jdk 17 as the minimum requirement.
I didn't see the jdk 1.8 reference in that link, however I will double check that tomorrow.
