Somehow I doubt that. Isn't there some parser generator that has to
be installed?
To further clarify - the .java files generated from JavaCC are
checked into Subversion, so JavaCC is not necessary to build Lucene
unless, as Yonik mentioned, you need to change the .jj files (such as
StandardTokenizer, QueryParser, or the demo HTML parser).
