I know this discussion probably comes up all the time, but I need to tackle it. There is a closed JIRA issue at http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-166?page=all that indicates that there may be some patches floating around to support updating individual fields. Does any one know where to find them and whether they apply to 1.9.1? If not, I'll dig in and build a patch for my particular use case and, assuming it comes out well, submit a patch. Thanks, -D
