Simon Willnauer commented on LUCENE-2094: ----------------------------------------- bq. You all probably felt that you reached consensus (over IM), but to the rest of us, it suddenly felt like you committed while we were still debating the approach. Actually this is almost what happened. We discussed over days and after this was committed I realized that most of the discussion was private. While this was discussed on JIRA the fact that we did so much IM wasn't that obvious to me and I guess this applies to Uwe too. I hope I made my point with saying this should not happen in the future though. bq. We could consider taking that step for Lucene? I thing it would be an improvement in any way! +1 for this bq. I don't like that it's not archived/searchable I think it is a good place to discuss things but results of the discussion should go to JIRA / mailing list. That way we have an archive for the decisions. I would not consider a IM discussion as a consensus as it always depends on the time of the day, people leaving the chat when they go offline etc. Having a public "realtime" chat room for lucene would be nice as many discussions can move quicker - results and descisions must go to a official place where they can be archived. This would give others, not on the chat during the discussion, the possibility to join again. > Prepare CharArraySet for Unicode 4.0 > ------------------------------------ > > Key: LUCENE-2094 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-2094 > Project: Lucene - Java > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Analysis > Affects Versions: 3.0 > Reporter: Simon Willnauer > Assignee: Uwe Schindler > Fix For: 3.1 > > Attachments: LUCENE-2094.patch, LUCENE-2094.patch, LUCENE-2094.patch, > LUCENE-2094.patch, LUCENE-2094.patch, LUCENE-2094.patch, LUCENE-2094.txt, > LUCENE-2094.txt, LUCENE-2094.txt > > > CharArraySet does lowercaseing if created with the correspondent flag.
