Thanks for the info Uwe. I don't have this setting turned on and I agree it's
not necessary, even though it might be useful. So we are on the same page. I
didn't fix any such warnings and I don't see any such warnings ...
Did you look at the updated patch I uploaded? Do you agree/understand the
problem those tests had before and why the cast is indeed redundant?
Could you also let me know what parts of the patch you decided to omit? I've
spent a lot of time clearing those warnings and I'd hate to see a large portion
of them come back for no good reason.
