Yes I can tell you who did this before...My professor in college used to
take paid projects under the table and then pass these projects as
classroom assignments....Of course the students didn't know that.  When
the project was done (by the students) the professor turned them in and
collected the money
...later on when the whole scheme was unveiled the professor was fired
in disgrace

I don't think your working for them, so much as you're paying for the
working experience.  

It can be hard for new guys to get into the market.  Although I have to
wonder how seriously a potential workplace would take this type of
experience.

Anyone ever do this type of thing before?
