Thanks for all the replies :-)

Solved this last night, so here is the solution for anyone who has the
same trouble...

Glassfish 2.1 comes bundled with Java EE 5 SDK , so all I had to do
was provide path to installation directory of SDK e.g. C:\Sun\SDK and
that was it.

I was wasting time looking for a dedicated Glassfish directory (I am
from an Eclipse & Tomcat background) so wasn't aware of this.
