Hello! You can install any JDK with Netbeans. For example, I have in my Netbeans installation the JDK6 and JDK1.4 and I don't have any problem!
Also, is normally that when you install Netbeans, its recognized what JDK you have install in you machine. But the easy way to install a different JDK is going to Menu Tools --> Java Plataforms and Add Plataform. You search the JDK plataform folder and finish!!
