Dhwani~ I can relate to your frustration. I'm a newbie to JEE myself, but my goal for these courses is to get to the web application frameworks (struts, JSF, spring, etc.). I feel that it is these frameworks which are used "in the real world". Servlets/JSP are just low-level building blocks and it is rarely appropriate to code directly with them when architecting an application. That said, I have been resisting the temptation of burying myself in every detail of Servlet/JSP, choosing instead to focus on what roles they play in higher order frameworks.
Again, I'm a newbie so I'm not sure if what I said above an entirely accurate depiction of architecting with JEE. I'm just plugging along until I can get to the good stuff.
