Hi Mihai,

Sorry for creating the confusion. The fact is I just follow the instruction
from the Lab material which said after starting the Tomcat server from window
command prompt, from your browser, go to http://localhost/WebGoat/attack.

So I enter http://localhost:8080/WebGoat/attach on the browser but I received
the error page:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

What you can try:

Diagnose Connection Problems

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Because of this problem so I thought I need to start the glassfish app server
to make the application running. But after I start the glassfish server and run
the same url again, I received the error message:

HTTP Status 404 -

type Status report

message

descriptionThe requested resource () is not available.

Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server v2.1

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Now I guess the question is why I received the IE cannot display the Webpage
error page in the first place after I started the Tomcat server successfully.
Did I enter the wrong URL? How can I sign on to Tomatcat server and check if
Webgoat application actually running in Tomcat from Window Vista O/S?

I hope I have clarified the situation. Pls accept my apology again.

Regards,

Peeter

Hi Peeter,

I don't understand very well what you were doing. I see you start first a
Tomcat server that works without errors now, then you start a Glassfish server
(that include the Tomcat kernel) that provoque errors. Why do you need two
servers? Is your application deployed on the Tomcat server or on the Glassfish
server?

Hope it helps
mihai
