Hi,
To add Tomcat v6.x on eclipse 3.4, follow the following steps:
1. Click on *Windows -> Show View -> Servers*.
- You will get *server *view opened.
- In case you can not find 'Servers' in the 'Show View' list
then click on 'Others' and then select from there.
2. Right click on the 'Servers' view and select *new -> Server.
*3. You will get a pop-up window to '*Define Server*'
- Select *Apache -> Tomcat v6.0*.
- *Finish* the process.
- You will see tomcat at the servers tab. It can be started and
stopped by selecting options by right clicking on the server name at ease.
I hope it will be useful for your purpose.
In case you are new to web applications, it will be much easier to use
latest Netbeans IDE for development along with JavaPassion learning
path. JavaPassion team has given excellent guidance to use it along with
Java learning. It will provide you everything in place without any
additional effort.
