It is very easy to test out your app. You could use your own server...just make sure that your router allows request for port 80 to be forwarded to the right computer. If you have a router, check the manual on how to do port forwarding.
Once you've got it up and running, dash off to the local internet cafe and see if you can connect to your IP e.g http://123.45.34.65/:<yourport-here>/yourApp It is worth checking though what public IP your networks has by clicking on here http://www.ip-adress.com/ Good luck.
